Career direction
The «Career direction» report is the paid part of the career test: you answer 104 statements about what pulls you at work, what you need work for, what is happening with your current job, what exactly is blocking the choice and what your circumstances actually permit; code computes six interest types, six work values, two independent axes and the gates of four branches, and matches candidates from our own directory of 192 occupations — the reading then explains three directions, the price of a move and the first steps. This is not personnel selection and not a fitness-for-work assessment: the result must not be used for hiring decisions.

Scope
What we analyse
Directions, not a verdict
The output here is three directions, each holding several occupations from the directory, with an honest account of why it fits, where it will be hard for you specifically and what to check before deciding. The reason is direct: interest fit explains only about one part in twenty-five of how content people are at work. Handing over one job title on that basis would be lying with a confident face.
Candidates are matched by code, not by a model
The 192-occupation directory is our own, with an interest code, the education expected, whether a route in without a matching diploma exists, how remote the work can be, and whether the direction appears in free state retraining lists. The algorithm scores congruence with your profile, applies your constraints and hands the reading a short list, no more than three positions from one sector. The model cannot invent an occupation, a salary or a vacancy count: none of that is in what it received.
Your constraints are part of the arithmetic
Runway of time and money, room for income to drop, room to study, mobility and backing from those close. No test on this market asks about these five, and they are exactly what decides whether a move is realistic or a fantasy with a deadline. If there is no cushion and the income cannot break, no route in the reading begins with the word «quit».
An honest negative conclusion
One of the four branches is «no need to change — the current job needs reshaping». Rebuilding tasks, relationships and meaning inside the same role is linked in research to higher satisfaction and lower burnout without any change of occupation. A free test that lives off selling courses is structurally unable to give that answer.
The type of difficulty decides what to answer
Not knowing what you enjoy; not knowing what occupations contain; not wanting to deal with it; finding decisions hard in general; believing in one right occupation; knowing your own mind and fearing to say it at home — six different problems in one sentence. The reading answers the one that is actually loud for you rather than all of them at once.
State overrides choice
If your answers show there is nothing left in the tank, the reading says so first and points to a burnout reading and to a doctor rather than matching an occupation. Weakness, poor sleep and a drop in working capacity are often blamed on a disliked job, though checkable causes sit behind them — and they are named.
Free first — then decide
The point on the «clarity × room to move» map, both axes with zones, the pull line and the gates of four branches are visible right after the test and stay yours. The «state first» block opens free as well: we do not charge for protection.

FAQ
Common questions
- No, and that is deliberate. The format is three directions with occupations from the directory and an honest reading of each. The link between interest fit and job satisfaction is real but explains only a small share of the differences between people: a manager, a workload, money and health weigh more. The decision stays yours — the reading gives you material for it, not a signature.
- A free test usually belongs to a school and recommends whatever that school teaches. State-run tests are more honest but give only an orientation and a list. Here the test first identifies what is blocking the choice, then builds directions, tests them against your constraints and ends with three written steps and a conversation with those close to you. It recommends no school and no course at all.
- Free you get real numbers: the point on the map, both axes with zones, the pull line and the gates of four branches with their condition counts. The paid reading is the coherent text built on them: the interest hexagon with your profile code, three directions with occupations from the directory, where it will be hard for you, how realistic a move is at your constraints, model trajectories, three written steps and the conversation with those close. Plus a PDF and an AI chat that holds your profile.
- No — neither paid nor free specific programmes. The moment a reading starts recommending a course is the moment it stops being a reading and becomes an advertisement. Free state routes we name as a route and ask you to check the current list yourself: it is revised and differs by region.
- No. This is not personnel selection and not a fitness-for-work assessment, and we explicitly ask that it not be used that way. Scales of this kind are not built for decisions about individual people — the same prohibition applies on our personality test page. The test is written for a person answering about themselves and deciding about themselves.
- The reading addresses age honestly, in both directions — if you stated it. Age bias in hiring is documented in surveys and in earnings research; at the same time the directory marks which directions have relatively age-neutral entries. And an adult’s interests are steadier than a schoolchild’s — your foothold is firmer, not weaker.
