Attachment style

The «Attachment style» report is the paid part of the attachment style test: you answer 48 statements about yourself in close relationships, code computes the two axes — attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance — and your point on the map, and the AI writes a coherent reading from those numbers: which anxiety and which avoidance sound in you and how they play out in your relationships. The test and your point on the map are free: you pay only for the deep reading, after you have already seen your scales. This is an educational tool, not a diagnosis or a medical conclusion.

Scope

What we analyse

  • A point on the map, not one label out of four

Secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful-avoidant (disorganized) are regions on a two-axis map, not boxes. Your coordinates are computed by CODE from your answers — the numbers are reproducible, and if the point sits near a border, the reading says exactly that.

  • 12 facets: what the style is made of

The signs of each axis are broken into facets: fear of rejection, need for reassurance, wariness of cooling signals on the anxiety side; discomfort with closeness, closedness and self-reliance on the avoidance side. You see not «you are anxious» but what exactly sounds in you.

  • A reading for your point, not a type template

The AI receives your computed scales and writes a text for them specifically: how your facets combine, how it looks in closeness, conflict and pauses in messaging, where what everyday language calls emotional dependency ends and a healthy need for connection begins.

  • What helps you shift

Attachment style changes with the experience of secure relationships — it is called earned security. The reading shows which facet to start from in your case and gives ready-made phrases: how to ask for support and how to talk about distance.

  • Free first, then your decision

You see your point on the map, your style as a region and all 12 facets with zones for free, right after the test. Payment is only for the full reading, and only if you want to read it. Plus a PDF report.

How it works

Three steps to a clear result

  1. Upload your data

Take a photo of a test or scan, upload a PDF — or just describe your symptoms. Several files at once, no sign-up.

  2. AI analyses everything

It reads test values and findings on images and checks them against reference ranges. For tests from different dates, it tracks the trend.

  3. A clear result

What’s normal, what’s off and what it means — in plain language, with advice on which doctor to see.

FAQ

Common questions

  • Four: secure, anxious, avoidant and fearful-avoidant — also called disorganized; in the child literature the anxious one is called anxious-ambivalent. Finding your style from article descriptions is hard: almost everyone recognises themselves in several at once. So we compute not «which of the four are you» but two axes from 48 statements — and show your point on the map.
  • The signs of the anxiety axis are fear of rejection, need for reassurance, anxiety when contact pauses — what everyday language calls emotional dependency. The signs of the avoidance axis are discomfort with «too close», closedness and self-reliance only; its extreme form is called counterdependency. The axes are independent: both can be high at once — that is the fearful-avoidant region.
  • No. Average sex differences in research are small, and the spread within each sex is huge: the avoidant attachment style occurs in men and women alike, as does the anxious one. A style is built from relationship experience, not from sex — and the test scores your answers, not a stereotype.
  • No. An attachment style is not a disorder but a style: every region of the map has its own logic, strength and price. The reading diagnoses nothing and does not replace a psychologist; if a relationship makes you fear for your safety, you need a live specialist.
  • Not from a distance, and we do not do that: the test is about you, and you answer about yourself. If you want to understand the behaviour of a specific person next to you, there is a separate test for that — «The person next to you» — built on observations rather than self-report. And anyone can take the attachment test about themselves — and compare points on the map.
  • For free — your point on the map, your style as a region and 12 facets with zones: real numbers, not a teaser stub. The paid reading is a coherent text built on those numbers: what your point means, how it works in closeness and conflict, what is genuinely fine about you, where such a pattern usually comes from and what helps to shift towards the secure region. Plus a PDF report.
